New Employer: Kaden & Colton Inc.

I have been staying home with the boys for about 2 weeks now and let me tell you something; I love it!! It has been so much fun being with them all day every day. I love knowing that I am the one that is caring for them and not some one else (even if it is my amazing grandma). I have been trying to do some activities with Kaden that will help him get ready for pre-school and he has so much fun. So far we have finger painted the  American flag, and learned the song "You're a Grand Old Flag" and The Pledge of Allegiance. He learned his shapes and tried to say "octagon"... it came out more like "oktgong" ha ha. He was really good at drawing circles. He likes it when I draw monsters for him, too.

We built a fort in the kitchen the other day. That was a lot of fun... even for me! Brought back fun memories of childhood. He got his favorite buzz chair, some fruit snacks, and camped out with Colton for a while. Then he thought it would be fun to tear it down. Of course.

I got him a squirt gun and he is obsessed with it! He likes to go out on the porch and shoot guys (innocent passerbyers) until one day he got what was coming to him. Three kids got there squirt guns and let loose on Kaden HA HA HA!!!! He loved it though. They sprayed each other for about an hour. I thanked them for keeping him entertained. :) Now that the weather is good I have been taking him to the pool and trying to make him feel more comfortable in the water. He is very afraid of swimming (but that is OK, I was too) and I finally got him to be more relaxed. He will now jump off the edge to me (which was a HUGE surprise) and he will let me hold him up while he doggy paddles around the pool. I have been so proud of him.

I have been trying to make a chore chart for him but he is already such a  BIG helper with everything. He will help change Colton's diaper, get burp cloth's, sit and talk with Colton so he doesn't cry, cleans up his room before he goes to bed, helps clean up Colton's toys and last night with out me even asking him he went around and collected all the shoes on the floor and lined them up nicely by the front door. It was so CUTE! I said thank you and he said "You're yelcum, mommy!" with a big smile on his face. I love him so much!!!!!!!!!!

Colton has also started to do some new things since I have been staying home......... TEETHING!!!! Poor baby. He has not been very happy (Well, he is never NOT happy I guess he is just LESS happy.) I feel so bad for him. He wants me to hold him all day and when I don't it makes him cry, which makes me sad, so I end up holding him..... all day. Which is OK because who am I to turn down a snuggle?? I just wish I could get more done.  He now eats his toes and looks like some kind of pretzel while doing it, ha ha! And he LOVES to watch The Wiggles... I do not. But whatever makes him happy, I guess. :) I think he likes all of the bright colors. He has also started to tease Kaden. He likes to kick him. It is really cute, and Kaden doesn't mind. He thinks it is funny.

Now that I am home in my free time I like to go and look at all of the money saving blogs. My absolute favorite is Freebies2deals.com!! IT IS AWESOME! Whelp. That is a little bit about me. And as you can see, I am defined by food. I love it. I have loved food since I was little and I used to have "nightmares" that I went to heaven and there was no food. That would be tragic. :(  But..... these 3 people are my absolute favorite things in the whole world.......

What "The Boys" Have Been Up To!

Ok so I feel bad because it has been a while since I posted about what Kaden and Colton have been up to... so here is the update. (Sorry if I ramble on, this is kind of my idea of a journal.

What Kaden has been up to...

Kaden is getting so big. Literally... big. I can't believe that he is 3 years old now. He is so much fun to be around and he is always trying to make me laugh. He is obsessed with movies and some of his favorites are: Cars, Kung Fu Panda, Toy Story, Iron Giant, Monster House, Alvin and The Chipmunks and for some reason Tangled ha ha. He likes to watch the movie and then go in his room and play pretend with his toys and make them do what he saw in the movie. He has quite the imagination. Kaden is a really big helper with his brother (well, most of the time). He really likes to get in his face and make him giggle, and he is always sharing his toys with him. He loves trains, cars, water guns, flying his Buzz kite with Matt, making his action figures fight, shooting hoops in his room (he always says "I'm shootin' hoops, mom!), playing with his T-Ball set, and riding on his Lightning McQueen scooter. He loves to eat fruit snacks, Eggo's, peanut butter sandwiches, and he is OBSESSED with McDonalds.... well more the playland.... but he enjoys the food as well. He also loves to go with me to the gym because he gets to go to the fun daycare center... that place is pretty awesome. Kaden also LOVES to sing funny songs at bed time and he is always telling me "sing faster mom!" Ha ha ha... he is so cute. And his favorite book right now is Happy Halloween Little Critter.

We just buzzed Kaden's head and he looks so different. I was reading him a bedtime story and started to tear up. He is getting so big WAYYY to fast. They are only little for a short while and it makes me sad. I sure love that boy.

What little Colton has been up to...

Awww... Colton. He is the sweetest little thing. He is always smiling and so happy. Right now he loves to play with his little toys and he is putting everything in his mouth. He found his feet and it always holding on to them. He just started to eat baby food and he loves it. The first time that I fed it to him I couldn't shovel it in fast enough, he would shake his whole body and open and close his mouth really fast cause he wanted more.  He can now roll over both ways and he loves standing up on my lap. He thinks it is so funny when I put on or take off his shirt (I think it is because it tickles him). He likes to play on his play mat and make the little thing play music. He talks a lot and he is a big momma's boy, which I do not mind at all ;)! He loves his binky and he figured out how to put it back into his mouth... which is good because he pulls it out 200 times a day. He is an excellent hair puller and his grip is unbelievable.. I have a bald spot to prove it! And he just started to touch our faces when we hold him... it is so cute. I love him so much, he is my little buddy. I can't believe he is 5 months old almost. Oh and at his 4 month check up he weighed 12.1 lbs. and he was 24 in. long. He is my little shrimparoo!
