The Little Things

Isn't it funny how life and feelings change when you have a baby? I used to feel happy when I would get a new purse or pair of shoes. And I thought that the only thing that was important was how many friends I had. Now that I am a mom I realize that those things don't matter anymore. Nothing compairs to the feeling I get when I see Kaden do something new. I love watching him open and close drawers over and over again, picking up his ball and throwing it (even if it's at my face) him dancing to any song that comes on when he is watching his cartoons, the smile that he gives me when I come and get him after a nap, when he gives some one a high five and knowing that I taught him how to do that, when he gets excited to eat his food and his mouth is wide open waiting for a bite, and I LOVE the way that he plays with my face when I am putting him to sleep. These are the important things in life. It doesn't matter if I don't have brand new clothes or a killer body anymore, all that matters to me is seeing my little boys smiling face every morning when he wakes up.

Toilet Paper Party!

Kaden loves to go where he knows he isn't allowed, for instance- the bathroom. Well I found him in there the other day, and he figured out how to unroll the toilet paper. It was so fun watching him do it because it shows that he is learning. He had so much fun playing in the toilet paper and Matt and I are really enjoying the giant pile of it sitting in our bathroom ;)

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Valentines Day was so much fun! Matt made me feel like a princess all day :) When I woke up he brought Kaden into our room and he was holding a rose and a card for me. When I opened the card I was laughing SO hard because he got me a card for a guy HA HA. He didn't even realise it. Then when I opened the inside it started singing "Nothing you can say can take me away from my guy.." ha ha ha we laughed so hard. I loved it. Then I came out into the living room and he gave me the rest of my roses.... bright pink... my favorite! Then we got ready and he told me he had a surprise and that we had to leave. We took Kaden over to Steve and Teresa's and then went to Einstein's for breakfast. After that he took me to the Humane Society to look for a puppy :) We found one that we really liked but we couldn't get he because she was too big. So after we left we met up with Robbie and Stacy and the dropped us off at the District so we could see 'Confessions Of A Shopaholic' it was such a cute movie. When they picked us up we were really curious to see what they had planned for us. When we walked though the door we saw that they had set up a cute table setting under a canopy with balloons and candles.... IT WAS SO CUTE! And for dinner we made different kinds of fondue.... and ruined most of it! Ha ha. But it was still good. Then we slow danced :) Our night was so much fun and Matt was such a sweetheart the whole day! I love you babe!

Feelings on life...

I just wanted to take some time and talk about my life. I am so blessed and I think that I have a hard time realising it sometimes. Kaden is the most amazing little boy, I have never seen such a happy baby. He does some of the cutest things and he is growing so fast. I can't believe that he is almost 1 years old, I feel like I just held him for the first time the other day. Having a child has changed my life in so many ways. I have a new respect and love for life. Kaden is really the best thing that has ever happened to me. He has this way of making me feel better and he is always giving me hugs and kisses. Staying at home with him has been so much fun.

Matt is working so hard and I am so proud of him. He is going to school full time as well as working. He is such a good daddy to Kaden and he can't wait to take him "golfing" this summer. Matt and I have had some hard times, but in the end I think it only makes us stronger. I love him so much.

Mmmm... Mac & Cheese!!!

Kaden ate Macaroni and Cheese for the 1st time. He loved it, and it was so cute watching him eat it by himself. I think out of the bowl that I gave him he ate 7 noodles because they didn't make it to his mouth, but that is ok because he is learning. He is so cute.

Christmas 2008

Christmas was a lot of fun. Kaden loved seeing Santa Clause at the Michels Christmas party and wouldn't stop pulling on his beard and staring at him. He got a candy cane and chewed on it the whole night. He is so cute! On Christmas morning we woke up and Kaden was standing in his crib waiting for us in his santa hat. When he saw all the presents he went right for them and started grabbing things. Once we started opening presents he only wanted to eat the paper and play with the boxes. We were warned ha ha. Then we went over to Matt's parents house and talked to Kevin on the phone (he is on his mission in Chile) and then went over to my Grandma's for our traditional Christmas breakfast. We got to see all of our families, which made our day really crazy. But we had a really good time and had a lot of fun with Kaden.
