Baby Colton has finally arrived!

Early in the morning on January 4th our cute little boy made his grand entrance.... 2 weeks early! Colton Brady Michels was born at 7:46 a.m., he weighed 6 pounds 2 ounces and was 19 inches long. Not only is he perfect, I had the most perfect labor and delivery. Got to the hospital at 6cm and quickly got to 10cm about an hour and a half later. He was delivered after pushing 3 times.... which I am very thankful for after not getting any sleep for 24 hours straight. He said hello to me by peeing right in my face... I guess he is just like his big brother whom pooped all over me. Boys. But he is so sweet and mellow. He hardly ever cries... I mean NEVER! He has tons of hair and very tan skin, opposite of Kaden, but still just as handsome. And Kaden just loves him to death. Any chance he gets he gives him a kiss and rubs his head, and he is such a good little helper. But it has definelty been a major adjustment going from one child to two. I am still trying to figure out how to spend equal amounts of time with each of them, while still having time for myself. But Matt has been a big help and plays with kaden a lot. We are so happy to have him in our family and we can't wait to see all the fun things he is going to do as he grows up. ***These pictures were done by my friend Savannah. Colton and I went over to her house and had a little mommy and son photo shoot. It was so much fun and she did a great job with the pictures. Thanks Sav!

Wow.. It's been FOREVER!

Hey Everyone..... did you forget about us?? I bet you did, it's been a really long time since my last post. So much new, fun and exciting things are going on. The most exciting is BABY # 2!!! We can't wait to meet our new LITTLE BOY in January!! It is so weird being pregnant for the 2nd time, you almost forget that your pregnant because there are so many things going on. But we are so happy and can't wait! Kaden is now a little over 2 years old and he is such a cute (but crazy) kid. He has a ton of energy and loves to play and go on adventures. Right now he LOVES trains, seeing the horses with Papa, going to the park, Buzz and Woody from Toy Story, eating cake (pancakes), and going to Mcdonalds and pretending that he is a dog ha ha. He is talking a lot now, and making up a lot of his own words. It is so cute to listen to him. This summer has flown by and we have done a lot of really fun things. We went to Bear Lake over the 24th and had a great time with Matt's family. It was fun to watch Kaden do things as a big boy. We liked to go and hop the little waves and play with the sand toys. Alright, all this updating has made me tired..... LOL. To be continued..

I have been thinking a lot lately about how thankful I am for my cute family. Not just Matt and Kaden, but for everyone. So, I want to talk about the people and the things that I am thankful for. Matt is a great father and husband, his laugh is the greatest and he is very passionate. My Grandma is my very best friend and I am so thankful for her. She helps me with Kaden whenever I need it, she listens to me when I need someone to talk to or need some advice, she makes me feel so loved and special. I love her more then anyone will ever know. My grandpa is the funniest man I know. I love the random conversations that we have and how cute he is with Kaden. My mom is a special woman! :) We have had our moments of not getting along, but I know that she loves me and she is a great Grandma to Kaden. My dad is my hero, anytime I think about him my eyes start to water. He has ALWAYS been there for us girls and I know that I can always count on him. Suzanne is an amazing person, she has always made me feel like I am one of her blood daughters. She goes out of her way to make everyone feel loved. My sisters are my best friends, I love them so much. Steve and Teresa are amazing and I am so happy that I get to call them family. They are great examples to me, and I love that family is #1 to them. Melanie and Paul are the sweetest couple that I know. They are so happy together, and they have an amazing love for the gospel. Kevin is the strongest person that I know. Nothing gets in his way and I am so proud of him for going on a mission. Brad is the coolest kid on the block! :) And Haylie.... there aren't enough funny words to explain how I feel about her! She is such a goofball and I love it. I love her as if she were my real sister. I am so thankful for my best friend Cassidy, she has always been there for me. I love that we have shared memories together as children and as adults with many more to come! I also am very thankful for Toddy and the whole Saxey family. They have an amazing family, and have always been very loving towards me. And last but not least.... I am so thankful for my son. I would be nothing with out Kaden. He is the most important thing to me and he has made me a better person. The other night Kaden was really sick and I was having a hard time because he was throwing up every where and would not stop screaming at 3:30 in the morning. I was so frustrated. So I went and got a blanket and pillow and layed on his floor while he layed on his bean bag and watched his favorite movie. Just as I started to fall asleep Kaden came and layed down next to me and then turned around and gave me a kiss. It was the most special thing that has ever happened to me. It was like he was telling me 'Thank you, mom for being there for me." These are the moments that make everything worth it. And now I am crying.... I am such a mom! So I am thankful for my giant family and special moments with my baby. I love my life and I wouldn't change a thing!

KADEN'S 1ST HAIRCUT!

THE BEFORE PICTURE

Alot To Talk About!

Happy Fall everyone! It has been so long since I updated our blog. Alot has happened. 1st of all we moved out to Draper. We got a cute apartment and we love it! We live next to a duck pond and there are 2 parks right by us so it is fun for Kaden. I am having so much fun decorating and having my own kitchen to cook in. We also took Kaden to get his 1st hair cut by Aunt Melanie on Tuesday. He looks SO cute!! I was having a hard time taking him to get his hair cut because I felt like I was getting rid of my newborn ha ha. But we finally did it and he looks like a little missionary now ha ha. He had a hard time at first when Mel started buzzing it but as soon as we gave him a sucker he was fine. Wouldn't it be nice to have a sucker solve all of your problems? I know I do. Kaden is getting so big, I can't even believe how fast time goes by when you have a child. You don't believe it when people tell you that until you have one. My best friend Cassidy finally had her baby. It was a little girl and her name is Jaicey. She was 9 lbs 4 oz!!!!! BIG GIRL. She is so cute and I am so happy to be her aunt. Cassidy and I have been friends since we were 5 years old, so we are pretty close. I love her like a sister so it was pretty exciting for me when I found out she was pregnant. Hmm... what else is new.... Oh we went to our new ward on Sunday. Everyone was so nice, even when Kaden would go up and play with their childrens toys. He was a little monster in sacrament meeting. The kid cannot sit still for longer then 30 seconds. Hopefully he grows out of that soon. But I can't really think of what else has gone on and I have a little crazy person climbing all over me. So enjoy some pictures.

Wow... It's Been A Long Time.....

Wow, I can't believe how long it has been since I posted something on here. We have had the best summer. We have been able to go on a lot of fun family trips, and hang out with our friends. Kaden is now 17 months and I can't believe it. He is such a big boy. Matt is almost ready for his body building competition and he is looking great. He has worked so hard with the gym and with his diet. But I can't wait till it is over with so that I can go back to my normal routine of making dinner and having someone (besides the one that throws his food at me) to eat it with. I don't have too much exciting news about myself, but I did get new glasses today ha ha. WAHOO!! But I can tell you a lot about Kaden, he lives a pretty exciting life. Some of his favorite things to do are:

-Brush my hair
-Throw my stuff in the toilet
-Say "hi" to EVERYONE that we pass at the grocery store followed by a cheesy grin
-Loves to drink chocolate milk and can point it out to me at the store
-Give high fives
-Loves to go outside and play
-He LOVES to be around his grandpa's
-He likes to scream on the top of his lungs (I sure love this)
-likes to hide things in other things (I also love this.... moldy sippy cups hidden in a box in the closet YUM!)
-He likes to grab my belly roll LOL that is when you know you need to start working out!!!

There are many more things that I love about him, but if I go on this will be really long. SO anyways.... We are looking forward to going to San Diego at the end of September. We are taking Kaden to Sea World and I am SO excited because I have a weird obsession with penguins and I will get to see them up close. This will be our first family vacation with just the 3 of us, so it is going to be very fun! Well, I think that is all for now. But here are some pictures.....

And There He Goes....

Our precious little Kaden is finally WALKING!! He randomly decided that he did not want to crawl anymore so he walked across the room over to me and I almost died. He was having so much fun walking back and fourth between us and kept laughing. He walks like a little penguin and he really enjoys running away from me when we are outside, or anywhere actually. He also talks like a turkey (he gobbles) and he does cheesy smiles and fake laughs. He is our little comedian and I just love watching him go about his day. Matt and I just like to sit on the couch and watch him play because he does the funniest things. We were in the kitchen the other night and we opened one of the drawers and found one of his secret stashes. He had a golf ball and a binky in there with the measuring cups and then when we opened the drawer with the pans (under the stove) we found a pile of bibs and a race car. HA HA HA I love him.
