My How Time Flies!!

I cant believe how fast Kaden has grown up! Just in the past couple of weeks he has grown taller and inherited a pot belly. I really miss my little baby though, they grow too fast. I remember how small he was and his little squeaks and how he didn't destroy everything that he touched ha ha. Now he is big and he doesn't squeak anymore.... he screams lol. He is still not walking on his own, but I think that he will be very soon. We all know that he can, he just chooses not to. Matt and I have started to just walk around with him while holding one of his hands so that he can get used to walking instead of crawling. He is learning new things everyday and he is very smart.
  • He says "boo"

  • When asked "what does the doggy say?" he goes "Who who" ha ha

  • He finally figured out how to use a sippy cup, and likes to hold the cup with his teeth (no hands) and laughs when he does it.

  • He LOVES to push around cars and stack things on top of other things. He was making a pile of things in his room the other day. The pile consisted of: his dump truck on top of his piano with a sippy cup in it covered with his pants. Ha ha it was SO CUTE!!
  • He loves to eat turkey and cheese

  • He loves to shut the door on Matt and I while we are in the pantry or the closet.
  • He claps his hands to play patty cake and when we say "YAY"

  • He LOVES to dance and sing to music
  • He does the "all gone" sign with is arms (I don't know how to explain it really, but I am sure you know what I mean)

But my most favorite thing is when he gives me hugs and kisses, even though he only kisses me so that he can bite my lip. Kaden has the cutest personality and I am so happy that I get to be his mommy. He makes my life so much fun and makes everything so special. I love him so much!

Happy 1st Birthday Kaden!!!

I can't believe that our little boy is already ONE!!! Time seriously goes by so fast. I feel like I was just in the hospital holding Kaden for the first time. I remember how white and pasty he was and he was so so small. Now he is a big boy and I cant believe it! We had so much fun at his birthday parties, he loves to eat so as you can imagine he DESTROYED his birthday cake and got it every where. Then when he was finished he started feeding Matt and I, it was so cute!! He got so many cute outfits and toys, but his favorite thing ,of course, was a giant ball that my dad and Suz got for him. He loves balls. He was also amused by the balloons so I thought it would be funny to tie them to his leg HA HA it was so funny watching him crawl around with the balloons following him. We called it the tracking system. But we had so much fun and I am so excited to see what Kaden will start doing this year. We love you peanut!!

A Scary Night At Urgent Care...

Last night was so scary. Poor Kaden had a fever of 102.5 and was acting really weird. So we took him to Urgent Care and on the way there he was lethargic and none responsive. I was pretty much panicking. When we got there the nurse came right out and took his temperature and it was 104.0...... I COULD HAVE DIED!! So we got into a room and the nurse gave him some motrin and checked his vitals, everything was fine with his heart and breathing. Then when the doctor came in she checked his ears and throat, but still nothing to clue us in on why he had such a high fever. So they had to put in a cathider to test his urine for a bladder infection....... it was HORRIBLE!! I hate seeing my little boy in pain. But that came back negative so they decided to do a blood test. It took them forever to find a vien (he gets that from me) and he was pretty miserable. It was the hardest thing to watch. We then had to wait for a while to get the 1st results back, they were negative also. SO frustrating not knowing what is wrong with your baby! So we now have to wait 2 days for the other test results. I hope nothing is wrong. But by the end of the night Kaden was so tired and mad- he got upset if I touched his toes.... I guess he was scared that he was going to get hurt again. Poor guy. Please keep him in your prayers.

Fun at the Gateway!

Nicole and I took Kaden and Korbin to the Gateway on Friday so we could both get out of the house. :) It was such a nice day and the boys had a lot of fun playing together and sharing each others snacks. We first went to Old Navy and saw some WAY TOO CUTE clothes and I, of course, wanted to buy everything.... but I practiced self control (actually Matt made me, only sending me there with a $20 LOL he knows me). Kaden then saw a bin full of balls and started screaming "BAHW, BAHW" so I let him pick one out and he carried it the whole day. We then took them to the fountains and Korbin went right for the water, while Kaden just liked to observe (just like his mommy). Then they both figured out that pushing the stroller around was a lot of fun, so they both did that for like 20 minutes. We then ate lunch, walked around, and went to Barnes & Noble. We got the boys some really cute books and like babies do, they chewed on them ha ha. By the end of the day the boys were really grumpy due to lack of nap, so we said goodbye and went home. It was a lot of fun, and I really enjoyed watching Kaden play with a friend.
